Kathleen Eckenroth, a dedicated educator, passed away on December 8, 2024, in Poughkeepsie, NY, at the age of 67. She was born on September 18, 1957, in Reading, PA to the late Brian and Marilyn (Dease) Eckenroth.
Kathy's early life in Reading laid the foundation for her lifelong passion for education. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Bloomsburg State College and her Master’s at California State University - San Bernardino, testaments to her love for learning and her desire to inspire that love in others. Throughout her career as a teacher in southern California and at New Paltz Central Schools, Kathy touched the lives of countless students with her wisdom, patience, and kindness.
She was predeceased by her spouse, Joyce Garee, her sister, Michelle Rissmiller, and her nephew, Michael Stanilla. Survivors include her son, Anthony Breneiser, granddaughter, Abrielle Breneiser, and her sisters, Denise (Michael) Stanilla and Elaine (Len Friedman) Eckenroth.
