Kathleen Gardner

Kathleen A. Gardner, 86, of Abbotts Court died on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital.   Born May 10, 1939 in Kingston she was the daughter of the late Herman L. and Helen Snyder.  A lifetime area resident Kathleen was employed for many years as the branch manager of Fleet Bank on Main Street in the Village of Saugerties. Kathleen began her career in banking shortly after graduating from the Mildred Elly secretarial school in Albany. While she raised her two boys, she also worked as a teacher’s aide in the Saugerties Central School District. She returned to banking, where she enjoyed the social aspects of her position. After retiring to care for her mother, she later worked in the office at the Saugerties Village Water Department. She enjoyed many years with close friends as a snowbird in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Predeceased by her husband, Jerry in 2012, survivors include two sons, Craig and his wife, Geri Gardner and Gary and his wife, Denise Gardner both of Saugerties; two granddaughters, Kacey (William) Bonagura of Feura Bush, NY and Rachel (Matt) Savarie of North Creek, NY;  three great granddaughters: Adeline and Bridget Bonagura and newborn Ella Savarie and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers, John (Jack) and Richard Snyder.

Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Friday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.   Interment will follow in Blue Mt.
