Kirk F. McElrath

Kirk F. McElrath of Saugerties, N.Y. passed peacefully at home on May 29,2024. Born February 12, 1968 in Kingston, N.Y., he was the son of Ferrell W. and the late Constance L. McElrath (nee Baroncelli). A Gulf War Era veteran, he served four years in the United States Air Force.

He loved golf and was devoted to his music and in his younger years playing baseball. He possessed a large collection of music, guitars and studio recording equipment. Kirk loved and was devoted to his pet dog, Sydney - and his beloved deceased dog, Lucia.

Surviving, in addition to his father, are his sisters Keri and Kynan,his former spouse, Karyn McElrath,  many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, (Aidyn) and nephews (Jonathan, and Gryphan), and many friends across the country. Kirk is predeceased by his mother Connie and his step-mother MaryAnn D. McElrath.

Kirk was employed as engineer for JBT Tec. of Kingston,N.Y.

A Funeral Procession will form 5:30 pm Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, 45 John Street in Saugerties, NY thence to the Mountain View Cemetary at 462 Main Street, Saugerties at approximately 6:00 PM for military honors and burial service. A "Celebration of Life" will follow at American Legion Post 72 located at 30 John Street Saugerties, N.Y.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc.
