Laura E. Miller, 96, of Shear Rd. died Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital. Born September 14, 1927 in Saugerties she was the daughter of the late Edward and Laura Mauterstock Newkirk.
Predeceased by her husband, James in 2004, survivors include a son, James and his wife Anne-Marie Miller of Saugerties and a daughter, Dianne Gengler and her husband Chris of NJ and five grandchildren Christopher, Kaitlyn and Brian Gengler and Jimmy and Danny Miller. She was predeceased by her siblings: Marion, Mildred, Benjamin and William "Bud" Newkirk.
Her Funeral Service was held privately with the burial in the Mt. Marion Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Memorial contributions may be made to Centerville United Methodist Church c/o Jim Miller 136 Shear Road.
