Laura E. Wallach

SAUGERTIES - Laura E. Wallach, a devout Catholic, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, and first-generation Italian American, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, while surrounded by her family.  Laura lived in the Saugerties, NY area throughout her life.  Laura was the daughter of the late Stephen and Marion Fondino, formerly of Glasco, NY.  Laura is survived by her four sons, Jacob of Los Angeles, Stephen of Saugerties, Jason (his wife, Leatrice) of Saugerties, and David (his wife, Ann) of Raleigh.  Laura is also survived by her three sisters, Marion DeJoy, Stella Costello, Jean Fondino, her brother, Raymond Fondino, and her five grandchildren, Cassandra, Danielle (her husband, Robert), Kyrstin, Jason (Macayla), and David, and one great grandchild, Lochlan.  Laura has several nieces and nephews. 

Laura was predeceased by her four brothers, Damian, Peter, Cosmo and Benjamin Fondino, and her two sisters, Carolyn and Susan Fondino. 

Laura was previously employed at IBM in Kingston, NY for many years.  Laura will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her loved ones.

Laura’s Funeral Procession will form at 9:15 a.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties, NY, then to St. Joseph’s Church in Glasco, NY, where at 10:00 a.m., a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery in Saugerties, NY.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Expressions of condolence may be shared with Laura’s family at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Laura’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
