Lena Gordiano

Lena A. Gordiano, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence in Cementon, NY, on December 31, 2025, at the age of 104. She was born on November 26, 1921, in Malden on Hudson, NY, to the late Frank and Josephine Wyszomirski.

Lena's early years in Malden on Hudson were filled with the love and guidance of her parents, she carried their legacy of hard work and dedication throughout her life. Though she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank in 2002 and her cherished son Al Giordano, and her loving grandson, Milton Orsulich, III, Lena's nurturing spirit and unwavering love for her family never waned.

Throughout her life, Lena was known for her hardworking nature. She spent many years serving her community as a waitress, a role in which she touched the lives of countless individuals.  She is survived by her two daughters, Jean Brice and Lynne Gordiano, both of Cementon, and her son, Frank (Paula) Giordano of Saugerties. Her three grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to her life, will carry forward her legacy of kindness and compassion.

Beyond her family and work, Lena was an active member of the Cementon Sportsman's Club, where she enjoyed the camaraderie and community spirit and as a devout parishioner of St. Mary's Church.

Her Funeral Procession will form 9:45 am Monday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., Saugerties. It will continue to St. Mary of the Snow Church for a 10:30 am Funeral Mass.
