Leonard (Lenny) Caruso, 83, of Saugerties, formerly of Belleville, New Jersey died Tuesday, June 20, 2023. He was born on July 14, 1939 in Newark, NJ to the late Eugene and Rocchina "Irene" (Gaeta) Caruso.
Lenny enjoyed football, baseball and all sports especially watching the NY Yankees and the Giants on television. He held many positions in the workforce over the years, most notably with Liberty Provisions, a distributor of cold cut meats and provisions. For over 20 years he managed a Real Estate School educating soon to be realtors to obtain their license. He was a graduate of Barringer High School in Newark and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Lenny is survived by his wife, Cheryl; two daughters, Gina Grimaldi and her husband, Ralph; Donna Beiter and her husband, Ronnie; Marilyn Caruso, the mother of his children; grandchildren, Eric, Ashley, Teressa "Teddy" and Alexander “Alex” Beiter; great grandchild, Bren Beiter; nieces and nephews, Lori, Shelby, Tyler, Frank Cook and Glenn Albanese. He was predeceased by his sister, Emily Kovats.
His Funeral Procession will form 9:15 am Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc. Thence to St. Mary of the Snow Church for a 10:30 Funeral Mass. Inurnment will be at a later date.
