Lester Ostoyic Obituary
SAUGERTIES - Lester S. "Les" Ostoyic, 90, of Nelson Hoff Rd. died Thursday at his residence surrounded by his family. Born October 3, 1935 he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret Ostoyic.
A lifelong resident, Les, was one of the organizers of the Saugerties Landowners Association. Active in the Saugerties Athletic Assoc., as a player and later as the head coach of Ted's Esso, which won several league titles.
Predeceased by his son, Jeffrey in 1979, survivors include his wife, Ruth, a son, Robert "Bobby" and his wife, Brenda Ostoyic of Saugerties. Two granddaughters: Nicole Ostoyic and Shayna (Adam) Hendricks. One great-granddaughter: Jocelynn Anderson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his siblings: Virginia Moore, Eva Sweeney, Mary Rudolph, Anthony "Tony", George "Mickey" and Leo Ostoyic.
His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
