Lorraine A. Shaw

SAUGERTIES…….Lorraine A. Shaw, 89, of Main St. died Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Kingston Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  Born December 23, 1931 in Swampscott, MA, she moved to St. John NB, Canada where she grew up.  As a young adult she traveled back to the states where she met her beloved husband of 67 years, Donald E. Shaw, who passed away earlier this year on January 2nd.  In March 1953, after just three short weeks together, they eloped. Soulmates ever since, they are now once again reunited.  Lorraine was passionate about her family and thoroughly enjoyed any occasion that brought everyone together.  She enjoyed movies, theatre, and Classical Hollywood and was involved with a local theater group in Kingston, the Couchhouse Players.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Pam Fabiano and her companion Jerry Mitnick of Saugerties, William Shaw of Saugerties and Eric Shaw and his wife Cathy of Connelly.  Grandchildren: Shana (Sean) Fabiano of Rensselaer, Shelby Fabiano of Glasco, Samantha Shaw and Rebecca Shaw both of Connelly and great grandson, Brody Fabiano.  She is also survived by her extended family in Canada and her lifelong friend, Shirley Keener of Florida.  She is predeceased by husband Donald E. Shaw and brothers, Thomas and William Bury.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Hospice of the Hudson Valley for all their assistance.  Her Funeral Service will be held privately with burial in Mt.
