Marcia "Pat" Kelley Obituary

Marcia P. Kelley, known affectionately as Pat to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in Saugerties, New York, at the age of 78. Born on July 5, 1946, in Allentown, PA., Pat was a beacon of love and strength to all who knew her.

Pat lived and grew up in Gilboa-Conesville, NY.  Her early years laid the foundation for a life characterized by dedication and warmth. She carried these qualities with her to Saugerties, where she would eventually raise her family and serve her community. Pat's commitment to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a devoted mother to Lisa (Mike) Lydecker of Saugerties and Joe (Michelle) Kelley of Warwick. Two brothers, Kenneth and Tim Clark.  Pat's love extended to her cherished grandchildren, Aiden (Brianna) Lydecker, Iain Lydecker, Faith Kelley, Brooke Kelley,  Sheila Ortiz, Chris, Bobbi, and Patty Chavez whose activities and sporting events were greatly enriched by her enthusiastic support and cheers from the sidelines.  Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph M. Kelley, Sr., her parents, Paul Clark and Ethel Mae Otter Clark and her siblings, Paul Clark, Shirley VonEllen, and Mary Potter. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she carried their memories with her throughout her life.

For over 34 years, Pat served as a school bus driver for Lezette Express, she ensured the safe travel of countless children, greeting each day with a smile and a kind word, and becoming a cherished figure in the lives of many families. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her love for Winston Farm, where she and her husband were caretakers for 56 years. Pat's presence on the farm was a constant, and even in her later years, she could be seen traversing the property on her golf cart, keeping a watchful eye over the beautiful land she cherished.  Pat enjoyed gardening and beach vacations to Cape Cod.   Being with her family was her joy.

As we say goodbye to Marcia P. Kelley, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that will continue to inspire and comfort us in the years to come. Her memory will live on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the beauty of Winston Farm, and the countless lives she touched with her generous spirit.

Her Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts.  Saugerties.   Burial will follow next to her husband in the Mt. Marion Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday 3-5 and 7-9  PM. Further obituary information and condolences may be shared with the family on Pat's Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
