Margaret Ford

SAUGERTIES….. Margaret Ford, 84, formerly of the West Saugerties Road died peacefully Thursday, December 9, 2021.  Born May 13, 1937 in Alabama she was the daughter of the late Ward and Margaret Key.   A veteran of the United States Navy she served from 1959-1961.   Active in the community she was a former member of the Saugerties Atonement Lutheran Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.   Margaret always would be there to help others and was well known for her baking of pound cakes. 

Predeceased by her husband, George, survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Needham of Long Beach, NY.  Three grandchildren, Cassandra and her husband Kevin Schneider of Smithtown, Elizabeth of Saugerties and Nicholas Needham of Saugerties.  One great grandchild, Scottlyn Faith Schneider.

Her Service will be held 9:00 AM Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Blue Mt. Cemetery.  Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. Of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.  Interment with military honors will be held at the Blue Mountain Cemetery
