While raising her family in the 1960s and 70s, Marie was active in the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Le leche League. She learned how to “belly dance” with a neighborhood friend which she enjoyed as “good exercise” and a lot of fun. Marie was a good neighbor and always had at least 4-5 other children in the yard in addition to her own. She played cards and Mahjong with the neighborhood ladies.

Marie was a devoted wife mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor and is remembered by her family for her many humorous “Momisms”.  Sunday dinners at her home in Westbury were always full of good food, laughter and a lot of fun.
