KINGSTON....Mariette M. Hendricks of Lucas Ave. Ext., died Saturday, September 9, 2023 peacefully at home in West Saugerties where she resided for 53 years. She was born in Swanton, VT on August 6, 1937 to the late Giles and Ila (Honsinger) Cheney. As a savvy business woman, she was the owner and operator of Ray’s Deli for many years, and she also ran a chocolate store and a peanut factory. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray, and daughter, Kathy. Survivors include her son, Mark Dupre, and grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, 8PM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette Sts. Her visitation will be prior to the service from 2-4 and 7-8PM.
