Mark Otis Valk

SAUGERTIES - Mark "Otis" Valk, 64, of Rte. 32 died Thursday, December 11, 2025 at his residence.  Born May 1, 1961 in Kingston he was the son of the late Harry and Hilda Valk.  Mark was a self employed carpenter.

Survivors include seven sisters: Florence Kelly of Saugerties, Jean Doyle of Saugerties, Diane (Mitch) Ortlieb of Olivebridge, Rose Schachner of Palenville, Joy (David) Moore of Rockport, ME., Mary (Ben) Cabiao of Alexandria, VA. and Linda (Ed) McAvoy of Saugerties.    Seven brothers: Harry (Ruth) of Ark., David (Lenora) of AZ., Joseph (Pat) of Palenville, Dennis (Bobbie) of NC., Thomas (Deann) of Utah, Stephan (Dawn) of Catskill and Michael Valk of North Carolina.  Many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews also survive.

His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.  Burial will be in the Mount Marion Cemetery.  Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.   The Saugerties Elks Lodge will conduct ritualistic services for their departed member on Wednesday evening at 8:15 PM.  Expressions of condolence may be shared with Mark's Family at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
