Melvin Seligman Obituary

WOOODSTOCK…. Melvin Seligman, 96, of Allen Dr. died Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Baptist Home in Rhinebeck, NY. Born August 30, 1924 in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Henry and Katy Seligman. A Veteran of World War II he served in the Army during the invasion of Normandy on D Day.

An area resident for the past 17 years he was predeceased by his wife in 2006. Survivors include his daughters: Roberta Seligman of Rhinebeck, Karen and Richard Sherman of Woodstock, his grandchildren: Jed Sherman and Sara Sherman, and a great granddaughter, Ellie Sherman. A brother, Murray Seligman also survives.

His Funeral Service with military honors was held in the Montrepose Cemetery in Kingston, NY. Arrangements were under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc.
