Norman Risdal Obituary
Norman E. Risdal, 79, of Dutchtown Rd. died peacefully in his sleep in his beloved upstate New York on August 25, 2024. Born July 11, 1945 in Kingston N. Y. He was the son of the late Lars and Vivian (Breitenbach) Risdal. Norm, as he was called, loved to both think and do, with a career ranging from high tech industry to construction and carpentry. He built his home and lived in it. He loved music, photography but most of all his family. Norm survived multiple strokes and still found time to smile and laugh. He will be remembered, and he will be missed by all who loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Jean, of 45 years and his children: Dianne Ward, Charles Grant, Todd (Stephanie) Grant, Jane (Mark) Haddad, Brian (Jennifer), Scott (Pam) and Jason (Jenny) Risdal.
A sister, Wenda Heaney and brothers Laurence Risdal, Neal Risdal, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
His Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Interment will follow in the Woodstock Cemetery .
