Patricia A. (Porto) Risley

SAUGERTIES….Patricia A. “Patti” Risley, age 70, of Birchwood Drive passed into God’s arms Tuesday morning May 25, 2021 at the Kingston City Hospital.  Born March 24,1951 in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jacqueline Marnell Porto.  

As a lifetime area resident, Patti grew up in Glasco, raised her 5 children in Barclay Heights, and welcomed so many into her heart and home. She provided care for children for more than 40 years, taught Sunday school, was actively involved in her church, and was passionate about volunteering her time at the Pregnancy Support Center of Ulster County, working in the clothing and baby gear boutique.

Patti is known for her quiet strength, always putting others first, her kindness to all, her ability to forgive, her beautiful smile, and all the love she had in her heart.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Charles, with whom she was married to for close to 49 years; her daughter, Rebecca (Scott) Grant of Albany; four sons: Brandon (Cheryll), Damion (Shilo), Joshua Risley, all of Saugerties and Gabriel (Shannon) Risley of Altamont; her brother, Thomas Porto of Woodstock; and her sister, Karen Morrison (Rich Heese) of Saugerties. Seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Her Funeral Procession will form 10:15 AM Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. at the corner of John & Lafayette Sts., thence to St Joseph’s RC Church where at 11:00 AM her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saugerties.
