Patricia Ann Turco

SAUGERTIES……Patricia A. Turco, 77, of Peach Lane died peacefully Monday, May 22, 2023, after a courageous fight against ovarian cancer.  Born August 5, 1945 in Newburgh, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Bessie Kolodziejski.  Pat married George Turco in 1965, a Veteran and one of the founders of Turco Brothers Water. She had been a Saugerties resident for over 56 years and retired as an Optometric Assistant at the office of Dr. Joseph Mueller. She was the matriarch of her family and being with her family and friends was most important to her.  Pat enjoyed quilting and generously made many quilts for family and friends throughout her life. She loved to work in her wonderful garden full of flowers. Her garden was a part of Saugerties Secret Garden Tour, an annual fundraising event that visits beautiful private gardens, she was proud to showcase her creativity and love of gardening. To commemorate Pat the family has asked to plant wildflowers local to your area to support ecosystems and pollinators.

Survivors include her husband, George, two dedicated daughters, Patricia Marie Douglas and her husband Scott Douglas and Catherine A. Lenz and four cherished grandchildren; Brittany L. Lenz and her husband Phil Staples, Michael S. Lenz, Marisa E. Douglas, and Stephanie M. Douglas.  A brother, John Kolodziejski and a sister, Betty Kane, several nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Her Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Friday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc 45 John Street, Saugerties.   Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-9 PM.  A memorial Tribute Book will be organized using condolences and photos shared with the family at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
