CEMENTON…… Pearl L. Brockway, 94, of Washington St., died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Greene Meadows Nursing Home in Catskill. Born September 6, 1926 in Alsen, NY she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Amanda Pysher. A lifetime area resident Pearl worked for General Electric in Saugerties many years ago. She was a member of the Crafty Critters of West Camp. She would make lap robes and donate them to the veteran’s hospitals. She was a life member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in West Camp. Predeceased by her husband, Fred, survivors include two daughters, Laura and her husband, Warren Whitaker and Wendy and her husband, Doug Covert both of Saugerties. Eight grandchildren: Warren & Stephen Whitaker, Rebecca Liston, Krista Rider, Amanda Podmayersky, Jorene Thimmes, Michael and Ryan Covert. Eleven Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by a great grandchild, Branden Edward Whitaker and siblings: Cora Groner, Ida Jubie, Thelma Wrolsen, Earl, Amzy, William, Ernest and Richard Pysher. Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. Of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Interment will follow in the Town of Catskill Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Face coverings and social distancing rules to be observed.
