Perry D. Walls

WEST CAMP - Perry D. Walls, 72, of Kolar Rd. died Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Columbia Memorial Hospital, Hudson, NY.

Born April 21, 1953 in Clay, W. Virginia he was the son of the late Lon and Freda Mae Walls.  Perry was a mechanic and machine operator for over 35 years at Northeast Solite.  He belonged to Operating Engineers Local 825 out of New Jersey.

Active in the community, Perry played in the SAA Softball and Volleyball Leagues, was a member of the Rip Van Winkle Country Club, the Cementon Sportsman Club and the Saugerties Elks Lodge #2574 in which he was also part of the Darts League.

He volunteered his time serving as a coach in the Saugerties Girls Little League and Travel Girls Ulster Fillies Softball Team.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Marilyn; two daughters, Sarah (Amanda Morano) Walls of Saugerties and Kayla Walls of West Camp; five grandchildren, Skylar Wolf, Charly, Arya, Brynn and Mila Algan; two brothers: Roy and Michael Walls; three sisters: Mary Schoolcraft, Shirley Boggs and Jane Parsons and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings: Hazel Parsons, Charleen Truman, Harland and John Walls.

His Funeral Procession will form 9:15 AM Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties thence to St. Mary of the Snow RC Church where at 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.  Friends will be received on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Catskill. Softball was one of his favorites and made an impact in his daughters and former players lives.
