Rachel Verdon

Rachel Verdon of Village Dr. passed away, Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital.  Born June 29, 1936 in the Bronx she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Moskowitz.   An area resident since 1970. She loved to crochet, her family, dance, listen to music, she was always happy and laughing and telling stories but her greatest joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never met a stranger, anyone who met her loved her instantly. She was a fiesty little firecracker. Survivors include a  son, Eric (Cathy) Verdon of Florida and a daughter, Deborah Ostling of Saugerties.  Five grandchildren: Jennifer and Michael Verdon, Amanda (Bill) Wolven, Alanna Ostling, Alyssa (Brandon) Ostling. Great grandchildren: Victor, John, Gabriel,  Ethan, Cheyenne (Josh), Jaelyn, Mikayla, and   Kailynn. She was predeceased by her husband, John, her siblings, Linda Lisker, Betty Schreiber and Albert Moskowitz and a great grandchild, Savannah Leigh. Her Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Monday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.  Burial will follow.
