PALENVILLE - Ramona B. Gilmore, 68, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at her residence. Ramona was born in Lorbach, Germany on June 15, 1956, to the late Edward and Irmgard Perez. Ramona graduated from Adlai Stevenson High School and attended St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Bronx. She sang in the church choir and played the accordion. Ramona loved the Catskills Mountains and often referred to them as God's country. She was an animal lover and enjoyed baking. Ramona was a giving and generous person and a particularly good shopper, always able to find the best deals in stores.
She was predeceased by her deeply adored husband, Ralph Thomas Gilmore, and her beloved sister, Susan Perez-O'Malley. Survivors include her stepdaughter, Maria (Anthony) Filardo and two grandchildren, Denver and Sheila; her brother, Edward (Penny) Perez and niece Elaina and nephew Teddy, brother in-law Steven O'Malley and nieces, Briana and Amanda.
