Robert L."Bob" Hall, 87, of Shady, NY passed away peacefully Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston. Born in Paterson, NJ, on August 4, 1938, he was the son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Van Orden) Hall. He moved to Shady with his parents and his two brothers, Alfred and John in 1947. Upon graduation from Onteora, Bob served in the US Air Force from 1956 - 1960, having been stationed in Morocco for a portion of that time. He married in 1963 and raised a family with his former wife, Carolyn (Bertholf). He had chosen a career in land surveying upon discharge from the Air Force. Working first for the State and then Dan Kleine. In 1975 he went into business for himself, which he ran out of his home on Hutchin Hill Rd. Bob resided in Shady until 1996 when he moved to Maine to live with wife, Wendy (Thatcher), whom he married in 1993. He moved back to Shady in 2023, residing in his childhood home. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. Bob was also very crafty. He has made tables, benches and shelves as well as building two garages. He had talked about etching on mirrors again.
He is survived by daughters Kristen Wimberley (Jason) of Arizona and Erin Cuchelo of Saugerties. His brother, John "Jack" Hall of Willow. His grandchildren, Brooke Wimberley (Dan), Olivia Wimberley (Mike), Harley Berhman (Justin) and Lara Wimberley (Miranda), Breena, Danny and Mya Cuchelo and three great grandchildren Mikey, Layla and Ariel. His niece, Bonnie Hall and nephew, David Hall. His step children Scott, Sarah, Caitlin and Jess, ten step grandchildren and three step great granchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Wendy, his son, Ryan, his brother, Alfred and his grandaughter Chloe.
