SAUGERTIES…. Robert N. Stinemire, 91, of Main St. died Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck. Born June 14, 1932 in Staten Island he was the son of the late George and Gertrude (Zeluff) Stinemire.
Bob was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He was employed for 31 years at the Kingston Consolidated School District as an Industrial Arts and Driver Education teacher. Later in his career, he served as Department Chairman and as an Administrator.
Active in the community he was a member of the Kingston Kiwanis Club, the Rip Van Winkle Hiking Club and was a long time member of the Saugerties Atonement Lutheran Church and served on the Church Council. He was an active skier, runner and member of the Kingston YMCA. Bob thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Alice (Dimmler), two sons: Roger (Elaine) Stinemire of Saugerties and John (Veronica) Stinemire of Kingston, two daughters: Karen (Paul) Overbaugh of Greenville and Lynne (John) Bell of Milford, PA. 13 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by a brother, George Stinemire.
His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. cor. of John & Lafayette Sts. Saugerties. Interment will follow at the Blue Mt. Cemetery.
