Roland Newkirk Obituary
SAUGERTIES - Roland W. Newkirk, Sr., 82, of Montross Street died Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the Benedictine Hospital. Born March 3, 1942 in Saugerties he was a graduate of Saugerties High School. He entered the US Army and was honorably discharged. He was employed at the Saugerties Jr./Sr. High School for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Donna, two daughters: Bonnie Power and Crystal Newkirk both of Saugerties. Two sons: Roland Newkirk, Jr. of Saugerties and Michael Newkirk of Kingston. One sister, Helen Perry of Saugerties, 7 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by three brothers: Floyd, Tom and Leslie Newkirk.
His Funeral Service will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on Roland's Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
