KINGSTON….. Ronald F. Longtoe, of Deer Run Rd. died Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Pines in Catskill. Born June 24, 1933 in Kingston he was the son of the late Arthur and Nellie Longtoe. A veteran of US Army he was honorably discharged and was employed at Solite in Saugerties as a kiln operator.
Ron enjoyed the outdoors, together with his family he enjoyed camping, fishing, horseback riding, snow skiing and travelling with friends. He was a member of the Plattekill Reformed Church in Mt. Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Carole of 67 years, a son, Steven Longtoe of Clifton Park and a daughter, Pam and her husband Richard Benn of Port Ewen. Eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by two daughters, Kara Lee Longtoe and Tammy Lawlor and his siblings, Theresa Lawless, Arthur, Raymond, Sadie, Mary and Donald Longtoe.
The family would like to thank the Staff of Three West at the Pines in Catskill for their exceptional loving care. His Service of Remembrance will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Interment will follow in the Mt. Marion Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday 7-9 PM. Family suggests donations in his memory be made to the Plattekill Reformed Church, Mt. Marion, Parkinson Disease Assoc. or the Saugerties Animal Shelter.
