Shannon L. Denise

SAUGERTIES….. Shannon L. Denise, 47, died Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck.   Born December 27, 1974 in Kingston she was the daughter of John and Marlene Rogers.   A graduate of Saugerties High School Class of 1992, Shannon went on to Siena College earning her bachelor's degree and later went to SUNY New Paltz for her Masters in Education.  She was employed as an elementary teacher in the Rhinebeck Central School District. 

Shannon enjoyed the beach and family vacations in Cape Cod.   Her family was important to her and she was the number one fan of her children’s sports teams. She was devoted to her boys and planned the biggest and best birthday parties. She also loved each and every one of her students.

A special thank you to her wonderful 2nd floor nurse, Emy, who went above and beyond for us. Also, a special thank you to the hospice social worker, also named Shannon, and hospice nurse Mara.

Besides her parents of Saugerties, survivors include her husband, Lou Denise, two sons: Jordan and Cameron Denise, a step son: Aelijah Wilson of Albany, and a brother, Sean (Tasha) Rogers of Albany. 

Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.   Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Barclay Heights.  Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7- 9 PM.  Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on Shannon’s Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
