Sheila Palen Obituary
Sheila J. Palen of 42 Wilson Lane died Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Health Alliance Hospital, Mary's Ave., Kingston. Born March 30, 1945 in Kingston she was the daughter of the late Edward and Kathryn Osterhoudt Gormley. Sheila was employed for over 32 years as the Director of Environmental Services at the Ferncliff Nursing Home retiring in 2008.
Predeceased by her husband, Charles, survivors include a daughter, Deborah (Thomas) Florence of Saugerties and a son, William Palen of Saugerties. Four grandchildren: Kayleigh (Clayton) Shocklee of Cairo, Maeghan Florence of Charlotte , Troy and Erica Florence both of Saugerties. Five great grandchildren: Andrew, Brandon, Justin, Liam and CJ. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by two sisters: Sharon Fiore and Mary Ann Whalen.
Her Funeral Procession will form 9:00 AM Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties thence to Sacred Heart RC Church in Palenville where at 10:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.
