LAKE KATRINE…… Stella Kallos, 90, of Neighborhood Rd. died Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born November 18, 1931 in Mahanoy Plains, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret Homka Robuck. Stella was a seamstress for many years. She worked at Bearden’s Army Surplus Store in Killeen, TX sewing patches on soldiers uniforms before working in retail at Montgomery Ward, Century House and Marshalls. She was a founding member of the Mt. Marion Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. An avid bowler, she belonged to an IBM League in Kingston with her husband and in The Villages, FL, where they were also in a pickle ball league and learned to golf.
Predeceased by her husband, James, in 2017, survivors include three daughters: Carol (Bill) O’Connor of Saugerties, Theresa (Dick) Coppey of Saugerties, and Linda (Pat) Downey of Coxsackie. Two sons: Christopher and Steven Kallos both of Kingston. Three Grandchildren and two great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her siblings: Anna Divo, Mary Della, Nancy Rohde, Michael, John and Joseph Robuck.
Visiting hours are 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM Thursday. Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Friday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.
