Saugerties- Stephanie Pranis, 51 died Tuesday, after a lengthy illness. Born June 30, 1974, in Kingston, she is the daughter of Al T. Pranis and Joyce (Cucco) Ciarlante and the late Robert Ciarlante.
Stephanie was a graduate of Saugerties High School, Class of 1992, and attended BOCES CTE in the dental assistant program. She worked for many years as a server at local diners and was known to many as “Tiger.” Full of life, Stephanie would help anyone in any way she could.
She loved going camping with her fiancée, Donald DeGroat, always bringing along her beloved pet, Sammi. Stephanie also enjoyed going to the movies and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents and her fiancée, Donald DeGroat of Saugerties, Stephanie is survived by her sisters, Allyson DeCicco, Nadena (Rich) Penovich, Barbie Quick, and Alison Ciarlante; her nephews, Brian Ciarlante, Tyler Penovich, and Trevor Penovich; and other relatives including Uncle Anthony (Wanda) Papa, Great Aunt Rosemarie Becker, Randy Pape, Barbara Pape, Aunt Marilyn Boyle, and many cousins.
Stephanie’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Karen Brott for the friendship she shared with Stephanie.
