Stephen Lance Facchera

Stephen Lance Facchera was born in Queens, NY on December 14, 1954, to the late Sergio Facchera and Sarah Mae Stone.

Stephen was a long time Resident of Saugerties, and those that were blessed to have been in his life, knew Stephen as a most generous, caring man who would stop at nothing to help another in need. 

Stephen was raised in Riverdale NY, educated at Saint Gabriel’s grammar school, Cardinal Hayes High and Theodore Roosevelt High School. From an early age Stephen found himself engulfed in sports, and his love of sports defined a big part of his life. Later on in life,  Stephen went on to continue his education at Ulster Community College to achieve his Associates Degree.

Stephen was an instrumental member of his local AA Community, helping families in crisis and being a profound part of the development of Ryan’s House. 

Stephen died peacefully in the hospital, with his sister Serena by his side. He leaves behind his sister, Serena, and her two sons, his nephews, Alexander and Grant. He was 68 years old. He will forever remain in our hearts!
