Stuart Budesa, a cherished father, grandfather, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence in Saugerties on March 21, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on July 9, 1949, in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Michael and Shirley (Wattman) Budesa.
A proud US Navy veteran, Stuart served his country with honor and distinction. Upon returning to civilian life, Stuart channeled his skills into a successful career as a union welder. His work was not just a job but a testament to his strength and precision, qualities that earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter, Jaycee Vaught, his cherished grandchildren, Pierce and Brooke Vaught, and his devoted girlfriend, Brenda Duffel. He was predeceased by his wife Ellen in 2018, brother, Lance and his sister Arlene.
His Graveside Service with military honors will be held Monday 1 PM at the Blue Mt. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Ulster County SPCA.
