Thelma E. Collette

SAUGERTIES -  Thelma E. Collette, 92, of DeWitt Dr., died Friday, November 1, 2024 at the Benedictine Hospital.   Born January 27, 1932 in Millbury, MA. she was the daughter of the late Harry and Annie Walsh.  An area resident for many years,  Thelma was very active in the Saugerties First Congregational Church, and served as a Deacon of the church.  She was a member of the Saugerties Senior Club and Yoga.  She volunteered at the Well and Food Pantry.

Predeceased by her husband, Robert in 2003 and a brother, Richard Walsh,  survivors include two daughters,

Lynn and her husband Mike Abate of Saugerties and Lisa Ryan of Olivebridge.  Three grandchildren, Robyn Welch of Saugerties, Brennan Ryan of Accord and Michael Ryan of Olivebridge.  Two great grandchildren, Dylan and Jenna Welch, a sister, Elizabeth Pichierri of Millbury, MA. and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.  Burial will follow in the Blue Mountain Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.     Family suggests donations in her memory be made to the First Congregational Church Tower Fund, 333 Main St., Saugerties, NY.   Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on Thelma's Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
