Tracy M. McCarthy

SAUGERTIES - Tracy M. McCarthy, 71, of Lauren Tice Rd., passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at her residence surrounded by loved ones. Born November 9, 1953 in Mount Clemens, MI., she was the daughter of the Charles and Marilyn Frank. 
As an area resident for many years, Tracy was an active community member and beloved by all who met her. She had been a staple in the Hudson Valley recovery community and helped countless women through their recovery journeys. Additionally, Tracy worked as a Registered Nurse for 30+ years, retiring from Ferncliff Nursing Home in 2022, where her legacy of devotion and compassion continues.
Tracy was best known for being endlessly welcoming and non judgmental to all. She valued her family most and spent most of her time with them. Tracy was known for her beautiful knit creations, her adoration for camping and traveling with her family. Her incredible homemade meals will be forever missed by her family and loved ones.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel McCarthy, one daughter, Lesley McCarthy of Kingston, and four sons: Erik Belz of Oakdale, NY, Timothy (Jen) Belz of Massapequa, Jonathan McCarthy of Kingston and Steve (Cassie) of Saugerties. Two sisters: Leslie Spencer and Diana Carnahan, six grandchildren: Jeremy, Christopher, Allyson, Madison, Tyler and Daisy, one great grandchild, Anthony, and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her siblings: Susan Mary Frank Otte and Steven Frank.
Her wake will be held at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Corner of John & Lafayette St., Saugeties. Friends will be received on Thursday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM with a spiritual reading at 8:15 PM.
