Vincent E. Smith

SAUGERTIES – Vincent E. Smith, 71, of Morris St. died Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Sloan Kettering Hospital in Manhattan surrounded by his loving wife and family.   Born September 13, 1952 in Queens he was the son of the late Joseph and Jenny Smith.   An area resident for many years, he owned and operated Colorcraft Painting.  Active in the Morning Star Fellowship Church, Vince had served as a Elder and Worship Leader for over 15 years. A perpetual child at heart, he loved nothing more than playing with his grandchildren and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Leslie, two sons: Benjamin Smith and Josiah (Halima) Smith both of Saugerties.  Three grandchildren: Abigail Ebeling, Cecilia and Ari Smith.   A brother, Daniel Smith of Massapequa, NY and two sisters, Virginia Concannon of FL and Teresa Pedone.   He was predeceased by a grandson, Harrison Smith and his siblings: Robert and Loretta Smith.

His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.   Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on his Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
