SAUGERTIES - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vincent J. Smith. Born Aug. 11, 1946 in Brooklyn, one of ten children. A beloved father, proud grandfather, and a man of quiet strength, “Jimmy” was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Eleanor, and leaves behind six devoted children; Vincent (Sherrie) Smith of Saugerties, Lori (Greg) Klein of Sparta, NJ, Jennifer (Peter) Natoli of Ramsey, NJ, Heather (Patrick) Hart of Red Hook, Robert Smith of Kingston and Christopher (Jenny) Smith of Brunswick, and twelve grandchildren; Vincent, Chelsea, Hannah, Ryan, Liam, Delaney, Andrew, Madeline, Bryan, Brooke, Oliver and Wyatt; great grandsons, Christian, Hutson, and Cooper; each a testament to his enduring legacy of perseverance and witty humor through all of life’s challenges. He will be deeply missed. His Service of Remembrance for family and friends will be held 10 am until noon on Friday 5/23/2025 at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. in Saugerties.
