GLASCO….. Vincent J. Zeidler, 92, of Liberty St. Ext. died Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Kingston City Hospital. Born March 26, 1929 in Kingston he was the son of the late William and Mae Zeidler. A Veteran of the United States Army he served during the occupational forces in Germany as a military police officer. He returned to the area where he began a career with IBM as a computer analyst for over 35 years.
Vince loved life and enjoyed helping family and friends completing various home projects. He could never say no to anyone. He worked endless hours and turned his little home into a place where family and friends gathered. He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club, St. Joseph’s RC Church and Holy Name Society and a former member of the Glasco Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Adeline Polcastro Zeidler. A daughter, Susan and her husband Gary Young. A granddaughter, Tiffany Anne and a grandson, Kyle McDermott. Four great grandchildren: Desmond, Mannix, Nola and Niall, several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his siblings: Dolores Hutton, Jan Ricketson, Carol Fister, Donald and Kenneth Zeidler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30 AM Friday at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Glasco. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. Of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.
