Walter J. Lane, Jr.

Walter J. Lane Jr, 63 of Palenville. Passed away after a battle with Cancer on Saturday September 7th. Walt was surrounded by his loving family. Born July 16,1961 he was the Son of the Late: Walter and Julia Gambino Lane. 

A lifetime area resident, Walt graduated from Saugerties High School Class of 1980. Walt began his career as a Union Painter and then started his own painting business. For the past 10yrs. Walt proudly worked for J Mullen & Sons Inc. as a Painter & Sand Blaster.

Active in the community, Walt was a member of the Saxton Fire Co., The Saugerties Elks Lodge #2574 & The Rip Van Winkle Rod & Gun Club. 

Walt was an avid lover of Hunting & enjoyed sitting in that tree stand all day! His other passion was Racing at Lebanon Valley with "The No Drama" Drag Racing Club.

Survivors include his Devoted & Loving Wife, Susan (Dunn), Step Sons: Brandon Garcia (Albany) Stephen Freligh (Saugerties) A Sister: Deborah (William) Legg of W. Hurley and a Brother David (Jill) of Accord. Walt also has many Aunts, Uncles & Cousins (who were like brother & sisters to him) that he leaves behind from Saugerties & Lebanon PA. He was predeceased by a step son, Jeremy Freligh and his very close cousin Stephen Salisbury.

Walt was a lover of animals especially his current dog "Jake"!

His Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Corner of John & Lafayette St's. Saugerties Burial will follow in the Trinity Cemetery.
