William Bolde

SAUGERTIES….. William L. Bolde, 79,  of High Falls Rd. died Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family.  Born August 7, 1943 in West Park, NY he was the son of the late Richard and Lithian Bolde.

An area resident for 51 years, he was employed at John Fiero’s Garage for over 18 years and also at the Trailways Bus Garage for over 10 years.    Bill was active in the community, the unofficial “Mayor of Quarryville” he served on the Board of the Blue Mt. Cemetery, a member of the Saugerties Landowners Club and a active member of the Quarryville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Vera, with whom he recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary; daughter, Penny (Ike) Dymond; son, Brian (Lisa) Bolde all of Saugerties; two brothers: George of Pleasant Valley and Walter Bolde of West Park; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by his daughter, Billie Jo Bolde; son, William Charles Bolde and his siblings, Herb, James, Margaret, Frances and Linda.

His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Friday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.   Burial will follow in the Blue Mt.
