SAUGERTIES....William E. Ploss, Sr., 80, of Payton Ploss Lane died Friday, January 8, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. Born July 7, 1940 in High Falls he was the son of the late Peter and Myritis Ploss. A lifetime area resident, he was a truck driver for FTS Systems in Stone Ridge. Predeceased by his wife, Kathleen, a son, Darin, and a grandson, Payton, survivors include three sons: William (Lisa) of Hurley, David (Jamie) of Wappinger Falls, and Bryan of Saugerties. Longtime companion Sue Gorden of Lake Katrine. Two brothers: Vaughn Ploss of Fla. and John Quick of Kingston. A sister, Mickey Wolven of Kingston, 8 grandchildren Connor, Justin, Zach, Cody, Amanda, Aaron, Kacie & Brooke. 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
His Funeral Procession will form 11:45 am Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. cor. of John & Lafayette Sts. Thence to the Blue Mt. Cemetery where at 12 noon graveside services will be conducted.
