KINGSTON…. Mark A. Bannen, 65, of Washington Ave. died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Hudson Valley Rehabilitation Center in Highland. Born April 3, 1953 in the Bronx he was the son of the late Edward and Noreen Bannen. Mark loved and was loved. He had many lifelong friends because he was a good friend. Before mental illness robbed him of so much, he was a gifted drummer and blues harp player. With his brother Steve on bass guitar, he played in many bands in the Bronx. Mark went to Bronx Community College and excelled in French and Literature. He had an endless recollection of family memories, movie trivia and all music.
Survivors include a Sister, Deborah E. Bannen, a Sister in Law, Ellen, a Niece and Goddaughter, Anne (Patrick) Taylor. Many Pennsylvania, Long Island, Boston and Saugerties cousins also survive. He was predeceased recently by his Brother, Stephen.
His Funeral Service will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.
Family suggests donations in his memory be made to Chiz’s Heart St. in Kingston, NY.
