At the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, we are fully committed to the health and safety of the families we serve, our community, and our team members.
Life in our community certainly has changed over the last year. In every facet of our society, we are all adjusting to a new way of life. While the health of our Team Members and the families we serve remain our top priority, we also accept our ongoing responsibility to support our community during this time of need. Both federal and state governments have designated our business as part of the county’s critical infrastructure, and as such, we remain open and ready to provide service for our families and our community in this time of need.
The message that every one of our Team Members would like to communicate to you is this: “We are open and here to support you by delivering the high-quality services your families have come to expect – regardless of the circumstances.”
While the approach we may use in delivering services today is slightly different than what we have done in the past, families can continue to count on us to use all of our resources to help them memorialize their loved ones in the most respectful and caring way. Our team of highly trained funeral professionals are experienced in dealing with public health emergencies, from viruses to infectious diseases and natural disasters.
We have a great sense of pride and ownership in the community we serve. This national public health crisis only strengthens that commitment and our desire to continue to serve families with the same high levels of care and dedication. While our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families, friends, and communities impacted by the Coronavirus, please know that we are here to help you navigate this very trying time. We’ll get through this together.

Dearest Joan was our baby sitter. And my sister, Gloria Jane and I loved her dearly, as the pictures show! I would stop to visit her every time I came back to Saugerties from our home in the Seattle area!
My dad built an addition for her, which my wife, Donna and I got to see!
Love every minute I got to spend with you, lovely lady!
A note of thanks to you, Jack and Eric, for your care of our daughter Maranda. Knowing you and that she was in your care gave us comfort and we appreciate your kindness, professionalism and sympathy shared with our family. We are truly grateful. God Bless you, you are both special.
Thank you Jack and Eric. I actually met Eric for the first time to plan my brother Joe's funeral. It was an easier process because of Eric and his patience and compassion. The apple fell right under his father's tree. When Joe passed, they came right up to my house and thankfully led the way. They spent a long time with the family, reassuring each one of us that Joe would receive the upmost dignity, respect, and even attention to detail I requested. I know that there are a lot of new people coming into Saugerties, so I advise you to reach out to Jack and Eric first. They have been in this business a long time and their hearts are in this. Thank you.
I want to Thank Jack & Eric for help easing our family through everything at such a sad time with the recent loss of my Dad, as they did with other loved ones that have passed. All our questions were answered and advised me of issues that I wouldn’t have even thought of. They are very professional, kind & sincere and absolutely good at what they do. I would highly recommend their services for a loss of a loved one.
We were so pleased with all the accommodations. Every question was answered promptly, the whole process was seamless, and the level of kindness and compassion they gave made a difficult time much easier.
From the initial phone call I made to Jack with the loss of my brother Robert he was very empathetic and helpful with every step to ease the difficulty and enable me to honor Robert's wishes . Eric was so kind as he was with me for our departure which was complete with honor and dignity . Robert was blessed to have Jack and Eric a part of his peaceful journey . On behalf of our family , thank you .
Seamon-Wilsey staff are experienced professionals who are caring, supportive, kind, responsive, and offered clear guidance during a very difficult time.
I will recommend Seamon-Wilsey to anyone who asks and to my children when my times comes.
Thank you for making an extremely difficult time a little easier to handle. The entire process from the initial phone call to the end of the service was tremendous.
I used to work with Pam at Chase Manhattan Bank in the village of Saugerties. She had a great smile!
We had a lot of laughs together , but she also had a serious side. My condolences to her family!

Our families have nearly all been serviced by the Wilsey Family for a very long time. 50 + years. They have always been so helpful
It is a beautiful funeral home and everyone on staff was very nice and helpful. I still miss my son terribly. Thank you for your services.
Since this funeral service was during COVID-19 restrictions, we were not able to have a visitation and funeral mass. As difficult as this was, Seamon-Wilsey made it as respectful and honored as my dad deserved. Our family has used them over a few generations, and they have always been kind and helpful.
Jack and Eric go above and beyond to make a difficult time easier to manage. They both have gentle demeanors and handle you like family in a kind and compassionate manner. they take their time with explanations and are willing to make accommodations!
We've known family since moving to Saugerties. They provided a variety of options to honor the life of my wife, caring and trustworthy.
Comfortable family environment. We felt safe and taken care of.
