Ellen Nixdorf Obituary

BOICEVILLE.... Ellen Nixdorf, 79, of Piney Point Rd. died Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.  Born July 15, 1942 in Big Indian she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Dorothy Fennelley.   A lifetime area resident she was a former employee of the Onteora High School cafeteria staff.  She was a member of the American Legion Post 950 Auxiliary.   She loved her family, decorating for the holidays and bon fires.
 

Predeceased by her husband, Charles; her companion of many years, Joseph Scholar and niece Maryanne Pomeroy. Survivors include her sister, Mary Pomeroy; nieces and nephews: John, Donnie, Emory, Michael and Barbara Pomeroy and Kathleen McArdle and beloved dogs: Cubby and Shauna.

Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00am Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties with the Rev. Henry Smith officiating.   Interment will follow in St. Francis deSales Cemetery, Shandaken.   Friends will be received Monday 3-7 PM.
