NAPLES….James J. Donahue, 79, of Bristolcone Ln., Florida, and Harry Wells Road in Saugerties died Monday, September 17, 2018 at his Florida residence. Jim was born in Brooklyn on July 18,1939 to the late James and Helen McBride Donahue. He was employed for 19 years and retired in 2002 from the Ulster County Highway Dept. James was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist RC Church in Centerville and an usher at St. Peter’s RC Church in Naples. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #4536 as a 3rd and 4th Degree Knight. He was a volunteer member of the Saxton Fire Co. and a member of the Saugerties Elks Lodge #2574.
Survivors include his wife of 55 Years, the former Patricia Love; sons, James of Saugerties and John (Eileen) of Queens; daughters, Patricia Hurysz and Jane Seely, both of Castleton; grandchildren, Thomas, Megan, Kyle, Owen, Emily and Ryan and sister, Theresa Reynolds of NJ.
His Funeral Procession will form 9:15 am Saturday at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., cor. of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties, thence to St. John the Evangelist RC Church where at 10 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours we be held Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
