Joan F. Lezette

SAUGERTIES…… Joan F. Lezette, 74, of Myer Lane passed away peacefully after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Friday, January 20, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family and close friends.  Born April 27, 1948 in Rockville Centre she was the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret Tracy.   A Saugerties resident for many years she was employed at Nasco Healthcare the former Simulaids for over 20 years. 

Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” Lezette, three daughters: Stephanie (Mark) Ashby of CA., Erika (Randy Schultz) Lezette of PA. , and Robin (Jeremy) Gundberg of Kerhonkson.   A sister, Mary (Jim) Farrell of Saugerties and a brother, James (Lisa) Tracy of Glenford.  Six grandchildren: Ryan, Sara, Kirsten, Kayla, Jillian, Isabelle and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Joan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Many people thought of her as not only a friend, but also a second mother. She always put others first, loving to take care of people and make them feel at home.

Her happiest days were spent with family on the beach in Wildwood. She loved relaxing in her pool, spending time with her grandchildren, and spoiling her pets. Christmas was her favorite time of year; she loved to decorate every inch of her home and looked forward to her family coming to celebrate.

She had a great sense of humor and could light up a room with her laughter. There are no words to describe how special she was. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Her services will be held privately.   Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts. Saugerties.  Family suggests donations in her memory be made to Animal Kind in Hudson.
