Luiz "Lou" Silva

SAUGERTIES… Luiz "Lou" Silva, 86, of the Blue Mt. Rd. died Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Baptist Home in Rhinebeck.    Born Sept. 22, 1931 in Providence, RI he was the son of the late Manual and Rose Silva.  

            A Veteran of the US Air Force he served in the Korean War.  Lou was employed for many years as a sales representative for Standard and Rosenbaum in Albany.  Active in the Saugerties Community, Lou belonged to the Saugerties American Legion Post #72, Ulster Lodge #193 F & AM where he was a Past Master, Grand Steward and earned the Scottish Rite 32nd Degree.   He was Past Noble Grand of the I.O.O.F. and a Charter Member of the Blue Mt. Mens Club.

            His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Friday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts.   Burial will follow in Blue Mt.
