Mona Carkner

Mona Carkner, 79, of Holly Hill, FL, entered eternal peace on June 10, 2018 after a courageous battle with MDS and Leukemia. Born February, 17, 1939 in Le Roy, MI, she grew up in Newport, NY and attended West Canada Valley School. She then resided in the Albany ,NY area. She was the daughter of Beatrice LeFave Hoffert and Gordon Wagner. For over 25 years, she spent her summers at her camp in the Catskill mountains and her Winters in the Daytona Beach area of Florida. She enjoyed camping, fishing and painting. She loved playing Shuffleboard with the Coronado Mainland Shuffleboard Club.
She is survived by her longtime, loving companion and best friend Robert "Mouse" Wolven, Sr., her children Bradley Ryan, Judy Westervelt, James Ryan, Jon Ryan, Joyce Valet, Patrick Ryan and Alicia Chrysler and many Grandchildren and great Grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Charlotte Guido and Teresa Pierce as well as many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother Gordon Wagner and her sister Gerri Sheppard.

Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. Of John & Lafayette Sts. Burial will follow in
the Mt. View Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Family suggests donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society. Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family @SeamonWilseyFuneralHome
