Peter Todd

Peter Todd, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his Saugerties home on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. He was born in Cooperstown on June 9, 1937 to Lee and Barbara Todd. He married his first wife Gloria and together they raised 4 children, Peggy, Ron, Rich and Russ. They remained married until her death in 2001. Peter married his current wife Margaret in 2002 in Saugerties where they continued to reside.

Peter was a veteran of the United States Air Force and later joined the United States National Guard. He was revered and respected by his fellow coworkers for his amazing work ethic and cheerful personality. During his lifetime he had been employed by Feroxcube, F.L. Russell Corp, National Cash Register, Marpac Industries, Van Kleeck's Tire and Lezette Express where he had been known to arrive before any of his coworkers just to start the coffee. In his free time when he wasn’t spending time with family and friends he enjoyed camping, yard work, and washing his car.

Peter is survived by his wife Margaret, brother Tom (Gail), sister in law Marie, children Ron (Dawn), Rich (Lisa), Russ, grandchildren Adam (Madeline), Anthony, Ashley (Bucky), Amy, Alex, Amanda (Anthony), Zack (Tyler), Stephanie (Thom), Colby, great grandchildren Braydon, Bryanna, Logan, and Finley.

Peter is predeceased by his mother Barbara and stepfather Charlie, his father Lee and stepmother Mildred, his first wife Gloria, brother Skeeter, and his daughter Peggy.

Peter is remembered by his family and friends as having an infectious smile, a cheery disposition, and always having the willingness to lend a helping hand.

A celebration of Peter’s life will be determined at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc., Cor.
