Phyllis A. Curry

Phyllis A. Curry, 95, a longtime resident of Shohla, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Roscoe Nursing Home.    Born August 25, 1927 in Jersey City, NJ she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Frieda Rupp Drescher.   A lifetime area resident she was a former member of the Matamoras Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the Hope Church.   For many years Phyllis was employed at the Milford Pharmacy.

Predeceased by her husband, Douglas E.  in 1994 and a son, Douglas A.  in 1974. Two sisters , Muriel Taylor and Lorraine Mason, and a brother Arthur. Drescher. Survivors include a son, Kenneth C. and his wife, Patricia of Neversink.  Three grandsons: Chistopher and his wife Shannon of Nanty Glo, PA, Kenneth J. and his wife Andrea  of West Union, Ohio, and Jason and his wife, Kara of Clarks Summit, PA,.  A daughter in-law, Janet of Matamoras, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 PM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. 45 John St., Saugerties, NY. Her graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras, PA..  Expressions of condolence may be shared on Phyllis’s Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com .
