Raymond C. Carlino, 82, of Malden Turnpike died Friday, March 29, 2024 at Tenbroeck Commons Nursing Home after a long illness. Born January 20, 1942 in Glasco. As a young man, Ray loved to ski Hunter Mt. and his summer weekends were spent at Lake Taconic. He was employed for many years with the International Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Union of Rego Park, NY. One of his best friends, Frank (Chope) Sasso, who worked by his side, said no one could lay brick and block like Ray! Ray was a devoted son to his mother Rose Carlino, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Everyday after work, Ray would drive to Ferncliff Nursing Home and care for her. Most of you remember Ray for being the guy with the Amazing Bubble Fountain outside his home! Ray loved to walk in the mall, and Sam's Club to enjoy a hot dog or slice of pizza!
Survivors include his loving aunts, Shirley and Josie Carlino, and his many cousins.
The family would like to thank his friend and caretaker Mallory Bogert, and the nurses and staff of Tenbroeck for their patience and care. Ray, may you rest in peace in the arms of your mother Rose and grandmother Angeline.
His Funeral Service will be held 10:00AM Wednesday at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, corner of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7:00-9:00pm. Expressions of condolences may be shared with the family on Ray's tribute wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
